The Archeology of Water

The Archeology of Water explores what lies beneath the surface—layers of memory, movement, color, and time.

Rich golds, deep reds, turquoise, violet, and black flow through textured passages that suggest submerged fragments, ancient forms, mineral deposits, and forgotten places. A translucent resin layer creates the impression of looking through water, allowing  earlier marks and colors to remain visible beneath the surface.

The circular form near the center draws the eye inward like a portal, current, or unearthed relic, while metallic details and organic textures give the piece a sense of discovery and mystery.
