Where It All Began

Long before I had words for spirituality, I found sanctuary in the natural world. Trees, flowing water, and animals were where I felt safest. Looking back, I realize those early experiences became the visual language that continues to appear throughout my work.

This early painting of Mother Nature reminds me that the themes of refuge, healing, and connection to nature have been with me from the very beginning.

Evcn now, hidden faces, flowing water, trees, birds, and light continue to find their way into my paintings. They remind me that nature has always been my refuge.
